Hi everybody,

I know you are working really hard tonight... I wanted to remind you some of the things you need to do at the last minute.

1. Please check that all the parts of your report are in place
2. Look at p. 6-7, 8, 58, 59 in your orange booklet for the rubrics of the report and editing
3. Remember we need to use
  • present perfect and present tenses when we are putting together the Background/Introduction part
  • Past simple tense for the aims
  • Mainly past tenses and reported speech (remember what we did in the class!....) for the Findings section.
  • A blend of past and present tenses for the Discussion part(i.e., Most of the respondents felt that their financial means were not sufficient to support them in London and hence, they sought part-time work to compensate for that. This seems to suggest that the students at universities in London experience difficulties in finding time to study for their courses.)
  • Conclude with a brief summary and offer some suggestions (present & future tenses)
Enjoy!
