We are back to teaching tomorrow after today's seminar. I think you have all done very well today in your first seminar discussion. You prepared diligently and I have to admit that I was impressed with your notes you used during the seminar. I will, if I may, only ask you to pay attention to a couple of points next time round:
  • Try to stay on topic and bring it to a close in the time allocated
  • Make sure all your friends contribute to the discussion by making way for the less vocal members of your group and by encouraging them to talk.
I have attached some new links which I discovered today. One of these includes a video recording of university students taking part in a seminar. There is an exercise attached to this video link. Make sure you listen to it and do the exercise (see Pink list).

Tomorrow, we will begin analysing introductions and you will start working on your first introduction. To give you some idea regarding introductions in academic essays, I am attaching this link:
